MINI ADVENTURE - CORNWALL

I haven't posted on my blog for a while and thought it was about time I did, here are a few photos & a video from a recent trip. At the end of May, Jack and I went on a mini adventure around Cornwall, our few days were so much fun! We drove miles, stopped at organic farm shops along the way, ate punnet after punnet of strawberries, met some very interesting people, fell asleep on beaches in the afternoon, got caught in torrential downpours, swam in waterfalls, discovered some beautiful sights whilst walking and stayed in a posh castle which really isn't like us. Neither of us had ever really ventured through much of Cornwall despite both growing up in Devon & it all being on our doorstep, our few days exploring Cornwall were packed full of new experiences and there is still so much to see! Our little trip was a lovely get away and gave us a chance to explore more of our own back yard!
BUT...a Cornish cream tea is just all wrong, it just didn't feel right ;)

Enjoy x

EXPLODING BAKERY

Most people around the Exeter area have probably heard of The Exploding Bakery by now, if not actually going there most days for a cake and coffee fix, this place really is a little gem. Since getting back from India i've been very busy with lots of photography work which is great! But I haven't blogged any of what I've been shooting! On Sunday I did this shoot at Exploding, of their new cakes they've been working on recently. I kept the shots simple as the cake really speaks for itself, using natural light and props that were to hand in the space.

The cakes photographed are:
courgette & lime
sour cherry & coconut
salted caramel brownie
coffee & walnut

INDIA / NEPAL

Writers block is what springs to mind with this blog post, how an earth do you sum up 6 weeks of absolute madness around a country that you've completely fallen in love with? Well, right now I have no idea but I'm going to give it a dam good go! Hopefully the photos I've taken will translate some of my experiences. I cannot explain the sensory overload you feel when arriving in India, especially for someone who has never been to that part of the world before. There is absolute madness in every nook and side street you come across, with someone selling their unique little bit on the back of a bike, in India anything is possible and I really fell in love with that. There are so so many more pictures I could have posted here but it would have gone on forever !
